The 59th Strawberry Festival was a success in spite of the cool damp weather. The event was held inside and was well attended with a profit of approximately $850.  The Bucappella singers captured the attention of all present with their wonderful vocal performance.  Bedford Florist donated the colorful balloons that were on display in front of the church.  Garden flowers provided by Mickey Webber adorned all the tables.  I wish to thank Allyson Printz and her helpers for making and donating the 364 perfect biscuits.  The serving line went smoothly thanks to Deb Caban and her many volunteers.  Many thanks to Judy Watkins and helpers for handling the kitchen duties and providing advice and support.  The chocolate sauce made and donated by Kathy Harris was her best.  Thanks to Dick Axtell and crew for setting up tables and chairs along with Joanne Pantano, Lisa, Ben, and Laura Sackett who worked on the finishing touches.  Thanks to all the dedicated strawberry hullers.  Sue, Susan, Julie, and Loryne (office staff) made my job easier by providing flyers, support and encouragement.  Jamie and Craig Howard were key to providing 96 quarts of delicious strawberries.  Special thanks to Dale Watkins and others at the end of the night for cleaning up and getting the hall and kitchen back in shape.  Susan Wingfield helped by taking candid photos of the fun night.  Thanks to all that were part of this event.  Enjoy the photos!
