First Church of Christ, Congregational, in Bedford, MA

Disability Ministry

First Church is committed to being as accessible as possible to people with disabilities.

We have large print materials available in the Vestry as you enter.

Hearing devices are also available. As of this time, we do not offer sign language interpretation during worship or other programs.

However, if you come to us and need such services, we will make every effort to set up such services.

** "If you have a child with a visual or hearing impairment, please contact our Director of Christian Education, Julie Braschler, at our church office, 781-275-7951 and she will arrange for the proper materials and adaptive devices to be available for your child

We have a ramp in the front of the church, and chair lifts upon entrance through the two doors found to the left of our front entrance. Beside each lift you will find a buzzer, and someone to bring you a key to these lifts.

Once inside the front door, our sanctuary and Vestry (where we hold coffee hour following worship), are on one level. There are a few steps leading to Upper Fellowship Hall from the sanctuary, however if you enter from the most far left door to the church, there is a chairlift, and this takes you to Upper Fellowship Hall (as well as to our Music Room and church offices.).
